The writ of seizure shall remain valid until served and need not be reissued.

This short rule keeps a replevin writ of seizure alive until it does its job. Unlike writs that expire after a set period and must be reissued to stay effective, the writ of seizure remains valid until served.
The sheriff can therefore execute it when the property is located without the plaintiff having to renew it. Removing an expiration deadline avoids a trap where the right to seize the goods could be lost to the passage of time before service is accomplished.
