Plain-English Summary

This rule makes clear that the ground-rent actions are cumulative. The personal and in rem procedures the chapter supplies are in addition to a ground-rent holder’s other remedies — the right to distrain for rent due, the right of entry, or anything else the law allows.

The holder is not forced to choose the rule-based actions to the exclusion of traditional remedies; the rules add options rather than subtract them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the ground-rent actions a holder's only remedies?

No. They are in addition to the right to distrain for rent, the right of entry, and any other remedy provided by law.
